Please be advised that ongoing park road construction may impact traffic flow into Dinosaur Provincial Park between May 1, 2024 – June 21, 2024. One lane of traffic may be closed during daytime hours. Please account for delays in your travel time and allow ample time for arrival before your Program Start Time. Programs will start at their scheduled time and late participants will not receive refunds.
Tour Description
Ages 14 and up only
Step inside the world of palaeontology! Develop your skills of observation and hypothesis building, and analyze some of the most fascinating fossil cases that palaeontology has to offer.
This hands-on lab program is your chance to understand cutting edge research approaches that scientists are using to decode the mysteries of ancient life.
If you have ever read about a new palaeontological discovery and wondered; "How could they possibly know that?", this program is for you.
Admission to the Visitor Centre is included with your program fee.

Important Information
Program Meeting Point:
Dinosaur Provincial Park Visitor Centre. Parking for the program is at the Cretaceous Café, approximately a 2 minute walk from the Visitor Centre.
Ticket:
Tickets must be purchased in advance online or at the Visitor Centre. No printed ticket required. Your guide will check you in at the program meeting point. All tours leave at the scheduled time. Late arrivals will not be refunded.
Age Restriction:
This program is NOT suitable for children under 14 years of age. Children under 14 years of age will not be allowed to participate and will not receive a refund. Participants under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Cancellation Policy:
Participants may cancel up to 48 hours before the event and receive a refund (minus the $5 booking fee). Registrations cancelled by the participant with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded. Cancellations may be completed online at Sign In-Alberta Parks or by calling Alberta Parks Contact Center at 1-877-537-2757.
Park Location:
This program takes place in Dinosaur Provincial Park UNESCO World Heritage Site, 48 kilometres northeast of Brooks, Alberta (a 2 hour drive from Drumheller).

Note:
Pets are not allowed on tours unless otherwise stated. Please email dinosaurpp@gov.ab.ca to consult if you have a service animal. Bookings and rates will be attached to your confirmation email.
