Please be advised that ongoing park road construction may impact traffic flow into Dinosaur Provincial Park between May 1, 2024 – June 21, 2024. Tour Description
This alternative program is offered when we are unable to access the natural preserve due to unsafe conditions. Your group will still have access to an expert interpreter, learn and see all of the same interesting things as on the regular Explorer's Bus Tour but we will stick to the publicly accessible areas to keep you safe. This program is offered at a discount. If you have already registered for a full price Explorer's Bus Tour online, you will automatically receive a partial refund. If you registered in person at the park, you will need to obtain your partial refund at the Visitor Centre.
Explore Dinosaur Provincial Park UNESCO World Heritage Site from the eyes of the First Nations people, fossil hunters, and palaeontologists who came to this rugged part of Alberta in years past. From the comfort and safety of the park bus, experience the stunning views and harsh environment of the largest badlands in Canada. At stops throughout the Natural Preserve your guide will show you interesting land formations and fossils including an in-situ (in the rock that it was found) hadrosaur.
