Ages 5 and up

Join us in the palaeontology lab in the Visitor Centre at Dinosaur Provincial Park to create an authentic fossil cast that will be yours to keep! In addition to learning hands-on how casts are made, you will discover how casts are used by palaeontologists and museums around the world. You will learn about the fossil you have replicated and what it tells palaeontologists about life in ancient Alberta!

Program Meeting Point:

Dinosaur Provincial Park Visitor Centre. Parking for the program is at the Cretaceous Café, approximately a 2 minute walk from the Visitor Centre.

Ticket:

Tickets must be purchased in advance online or at the Visitor Centre. No printed ticket required. Your guide will check you in at the program meeting point. All tours leave at the scheduled time. Late arrivals will not be refunded.

Age Restriction:

This program is NOT suitable for children under 5 years of age. Children under 5 years of age will not be allowed to participate and will not receive a refund. Participants under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Cancellation Policy:

Participants may cancel up to 48 hours before the event and receive a refund (minus the $5 booking fee). Registrations cancelled by the participant with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded. Cancellations may be completed online at Sign In-Alberta Parks or by calling (403) 378-4342.

Park Location:

This program takes place in Dinosaur Provincial Park UNESCO World Heritage Site, 48 kilometres northeast of Brooks, Alberta (a 2 hour drive from Drumheller).

Note:

Pets are not allowed on tours unless otherwise stated. Please email dinosaurpp@gov.ab.ca to consult if you have a service animal.
