Overview

Description

Nestled in the heart of the Beaver Hills, Miquelon Lake is a classic camping and hiking park just 40min southeast of Edmonton. The park’s 15km network of multi-use trails give families and campers access to a rolling landscape teeming with birds and wildlife diversity. In summer, the park visitor centre offers engaging interpretive displays and exhibits and a park store. Award winning interpretive programs are held at the park’s outdoor theatre and have been a family favourite for decades. Night sky viewing is excellent here, as the park is part of the officially designated Beaver Hills Dark Sky preserve. The park’s namesake lake is not suitable for swimming but does play host to a wide range of migratory waterfowl and as such is considered an Important bird area. This park includes 270 campsites, 4 yurts, and 7 group campsites.
