Overview

Description

Only a short distance from Rocky Mountain House, Crimson Lake Provincial Park offers year-round recreation opportunities for people of all ages. With over 200 camping sites, 5 group camping areas, 20km of trails, and a lake suitable for boating and swimming, this park is a popular destination for both locals and travelers.

In the summer months, the campground store provides snacks, souvenirs, and toiletries, while separate laundry and shower facilities make extended stays more comfortable. Educational interpretive programs run at the amphitheatre and throughout the park, and there are ample trails and a clean and sizeable beach for whatever summer activity visitors would like to enjoy.

During the winter, there are cleared powered sites available at a reduced camping rate. The groomed and packed trails are perfect for fat biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. A skating rink gives visitors a chance to skate freely or start a game of shinny hockey with friends.
